Formerly known as the Prince of Wales Museum of Western India, the CSMVS is one of the country’s premier art and history museums. The CSMVS Museum houses a collection of 70,000 historic and artistic works comprising the history of the human race from the stone age to contemporary times.  A fine example of the Indo-Saracenic style of architecture, the Museum building was declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2018.

10.15 AM to 6.00 PM. The Museum ticket-counter will close at 5.45 pm
Museum is closed to visitors on the following days-January 26 – Republic Day, May 1 – Maharashtra Day, August 15 – Independence Day, October 2 – Gandhi Jayanti.
