Piramal Museum of Art presents the exhibition, ‘Making Art: Materials and Technology’, curated by Vaishnavi Ramanathan and Ashvin E Rajagopalan. Making Art: Materials and Technology reveals an art work in its process of evolution. This exhibition will provide a very tactile experience where the audiences can touch, feel and experience the making of art. Each section is designed so that viewers can experiment with the material and experience its various possibilities. Aimed at educating audiences and drawing them to the joy of the creative process, this exhibition hopes to achieve two important goals. To help the viewer understand construction of an idea by an artist and its relationship to the usage of material and to educate the viewer on the timelines of art history and material context and how it contributes to an overall aesthetic.
