‘SAFED’ The Craft Project at IGNCA

Cocoa and Jasmine presents ‘SAFED’ a textile installation, photo exhibition and panel discussion with speakers like Purnima Rai of the Delhi Crafts Council and Ritu Sethi of the Craft Revival Trust. Some of the crafts covered are Natural Dyeing, Kalamkari, Kantha, Jamdani weaving, Block printing from Kolkata, Maheshwar, Jaipur and Ahmedabad. Cocoa and Jasmine initiated The Craft Project that wishes to document tangible anthropology i.e material culture of a place and comment on its relevance in the contemporary space. They aim to bring together a community of craft entrepreneurs and create a collective of common motivation. The Craft Project celebrates Diversity in culture through objects, folk arts, crafts, and design.
