Saffronart presents an exhibition of paintings by renowned artist Jagdish Swaminathan. The Symbolism of Swaminathan: A Journey Through the Years features 36 works, ranging from early paintings from the 1960s to his famous ‘Bird, Mountain, Tree’ series, as well as later works. The Symbolism of Swaminathan features works from across the artist’s career. Among the highlights is an early oil on canvas painting from the 1960s, a vivid 1986 painting from the artist’s ‘Bird, Mountain, Tree’ series, as well as two later works from the 1980s, all of which demonstrate the artist’s lifelong commitment to exploring relationships between symbols, geometry, colour and space.
