New Delhi, May – Kiran Nadar Museum of Art (KNMA) proudly presents Craftopia 2024, an immersive art summer camp designed to inspire creativity and foster cultural appreciation among children. Scheduled from May 28 to June 8, 2024, Craftopia promises ten days of artistic exploration and cultural immersion at KNMA’s Saket and Noida spaces.

Craftopia 2024 invites young participants on a captivating voyage “Around the World in 10 Days,” where they will embark on a journey of artistic discovery, exploring the rich tapestry of global cultures through engaging workshops and storytelling sessions. Conceptualised by Somya Sahni, Manager, Educational Outreach Programme, Craftopia embodies KNMA’s commitment to providing enriching art education experiences that nurture creativity, foster cultural understanding, and inspire lifelong learning.

With a focus on hands-on learning and creative expression, Craftopia offers children a platform to unleash their imagination and explore diverse artistic traditions. Each workshop is meticulously crafted to provide children with a hands-on experience that not only nurtures their artistic talents but also instills a profound appreciation for cultural diversity. From the intricate mask making inspired by Hungarian Buso masks to the vibrant mosaic art from Italy, the passion-filled Flamenco Spanish fan making to the whimsical British cartoon workshop, Craftopia promises a rich tapestry of artistic expression and cultural exploration.

Participants will also have the opportunity to delve into Aboriginal art from Australia, weave intricate Polish pajaki, craft miniature portraits of iconic French painters, create enchanting Alpine landscapes from Switzerland, experience the vibrant tradition of Koinobori making from Japan, and learn ancient techniques of Thangka scroll painting adorned with intricate Buddhist imagery.

“At KNMA, we believe in the transformative power of art education in shaping young minds and fostering a deep appreciation for cultural diversity. Craftopia 2024 reflects our longstanding commitment to providing innovative and engaging art education programs that inspire creativity, promote cultural awareness, and instill a lifelong love for the arts. “said Apurva Kackar Singh, Director- Institutional Affairs & Outreach at Kiran Nadar Museum of Art.
